Christchurch’s second Pecha Kucha Night is this week!

Pecha Kucha—which originated in Tokyo—is a unique, rapid-fire format in which each speaker shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. With each presentation lasting just 6 minutes and 40 seconds, the audience experiences an exhilarating variety of ideas and projects.

The confirmed speakers are:

• Richard Bell // Filmmaker at Shuriken and Course Leader at New Zealand Broadcasting School // a music video life

• Margaret Gordon // Television Writer and Researcher // on animals in a domestic environment…aka Pets

• Robyn Pickens // Gallery Manager at 64zero3 and curatorial boot camp survivor // on her recent travels to Armenia and involvement in an intensive workshop on contemporary art and curatorial practice

• Nathan Pohio // Artist and Filmmaker // discusses little devils, science fiction and a minimalist aesthetic leaning towards a messy end

• Pauly Vyle // Graffiti Artist, Urban Vybez // about his journey from tagger to artist
