Welcome to Pecha Kucha Night Cleveland!

How often do you wonder what the other creative professionals in our community are up to? Or maybe would just like to hear from another creative person that doesn't do the same thing you do? Hopefully through these creative show and tells we will be able to break down any barriers between the different design communities, expose new talent and ideas, provide a new perspective on established talent, foster profitable collaborations amongst the presenters and audience members, and provide the community one more ridiculously interesting reason to continue creating. Keep an eye on the events, news, and newsletters as the months go by and local creatives continue to present their work, ideas, and obsessions in a series of short presentations on art, fashion, food, architecture, film, furniture, music, photography, and who knows what else. There's bound to be something for everyone, and if there's not (although I'll bet ya beer there will be), at least you'll be drinking!

We are thrilled to see the quantity and quality of interest from the local creative communities for this new, fast-paced presentation format. As many of you know, this presentation event includes 14 speakers; each speaker gets 20 slides for 20 seconds per slide to discuss their work, ideas, and obsessions. Right now we are talking to product designers, fashion designers, filmmakers, architects, urban planners, artists, DJ's, urban gardeners, photographers, developers, graphic designers, web designers, and anyone else we can find (or find us) that might have something interesting and/or creative to show and talk about.

For our first night in Cleveland, Pecha Kucha Night joins the celebration in downtown Cleveland's Theater District for Ingenuity Fest as the presentations begin in the previous APG Furniture Showroom on Star Plaza. The event will begin prompty at 20:20 (8:20PM) and over the course of the next week we will be updating our website with the list of presenters, so check back often! Space will be tight so be sure to come early and enjoy a few beverages prior to being inspired, influenced, confused, provoked, and probably slightly intoxicated by the wonderfully variegated topic mix. This fast paced presentation format, devised and shared by Klein Dytham Architecture of Tokyo, Japan, is sure to keep the audience captive by forcing presenters to edit to a new level of interest and conciseness.
