It is time for another Pecha Kucha event.
The first was a great success and now it is time for all those who expressed interest in becoming presenters to prepare their slides for our March event.
As many people found out, presenting is fairly simple.
Accumulate these ingredients:
-(20) digital images
remember: this can be of your work or intrersts, or someoneelses. It could be a pictorial essay about yourself, 20 slides of artist who might not be known but should be, architecture that sould be demolished or created, pictures of train graffitti, diagrams of your dreams, images of things that you can't believe exisit, fashion that is questionable, or images of your own work that you would like to share. It really doesn't matter as long as it is 20 slides of something brilliant within the design world.
-show each slide for 20 seonds max.
-add some dialog, or music, or silence
-throw in some humor, criticism, maybe some wit or insight to taste
-put them in to a slideshow format
-email them to me
-arrive at the Design Center for the event
-mingle with friends and other designers while enjoying food and drink
-gaze at the imagery and design inspirations projected onto the wall
-become inspired by creative people and their designs
We are tentatively focusing on the end of the month so I want to get the word out, especially to all of those who expresses interest in presenting. Many of you shyed away only to realize to late that the effort and format are not really that challenging. Remember that there is not a lot of presentation slots available, so let me know asap.
