Upcoming Event In The Works

← All Asheville newsletters 2009-09-02 09:26:54
The effort to bring Pecha-Kucha Night to Asheville is gaining momentum. There is much to do in order to hem everything together. The location is being selected for the debut. The general vicinity is most probably going to be along the river between Biltmore Village and The Patton Avenue Bridge. I would hope to have the debut by the end of September and then have a premier-esque event in coordination with a downtown event, such as Art Walk. Therefore, the initial event would perform as a rehearsal in the hopes of ironing out any kinks. While the initial "run-through" presentation would most likely be intimate and low-key, the second "premier" event will be inclusive, open to the public, and located in a central TDB downtown location.
There is little time to fiddle around. I would suggest that all interested parties do 3 things.
1.Forward this Newsletter to any organization, designer and/or artist whom you imagine would be an interesting participant or presenter. Don't be shy because participation may be harder to achieve than you think.
2.Put your presentation together as soon as possible.
3.Contact Asheville PKN through the website with a notice of your interest and comments regarding how we can move this project along with the greatest participation and quality of work.
Thanks. I look forward to the event to come.
Regards,
John Dean
