Presentations may be easier than you think
Hello all.
So, I realize some people may wonder what 20 slides they might present and shy away from the idea of joining in.
Presenting is not as overwhelming as some might think. It isn't a academic presentation, it doesn't have to be a "coming out" or a personal piece about your own design work. However, it can be those things and more.
It could be 20 slides about:
any fashion theme
your favorite art/ least favorite art
survey of contemporary designers, local or global
dna sequencing
theater design or costume design
gardens
the beauty of text
the beauty of fractals
investigations into the architecture of gerble cages
whatever!
Presentations can certainly be about individual work, either in architecture, design, and/or whatever. This subject matter is encouraged as well as any other theme. However, it is understandable that this could be a daunting task which some might shy away from. That is why there is a time limitation and that is why the subject matter is open.
I hope everyone can be put at ease by my promise that the event is an informal, interesting illumination of our valuable and fun thoughts. It is nothing more than that.
Most importantly, I know those thoughts are out there & that your work or insight is available.
I welcome your responses and your interest. Mark your calendars for October 4th and cross your fingers for a sweet, downtown event space linked to Artwalk.
Please visit the website and sign up for the newsletter. If you can pass on the message of our event, please do!
Thanks again.
