Vol.3: summary + many thanks
Last Saturday, 15 November, we celebrated the third Pecha Kucha Night in Barcelona, and without exaggerating, it was a big success! More people came than we could fit into the fantastic space of the IaaC. Some 400 people, 14 speakers and 1200 beers it was a vibrant night.
The event started, as always, at 20.20 with a short intro by Petz Scholtus, who is behind Pecha Kucha Barcelona. In the first part we got to know interior designers, architects, hairdresser-rockers, linguists and designers, some of who edit books, others are on the doll, some speak of eggs and others go naked!
The traditional break offered plenty of opportunities to great & meet, have a beer and try some of the delicious sushi with its clever packaging, cooked and designed by Loida and Hernani from Timtimxtimtim.
During the second part, designers, engineers, eco-consultants and other undefinables showed us what common sense means, told us the story of a chocolate bar and explained how to wear a moustache with pride.
We would like to thank Gustavo, Ricardo, Vanesa, Leonora and Luca for their help to set up the event, the IaaC for letting us their amazing space, Estrella Damm, MiPuf and Casanova for collaborating with Pecha Kucha Barcelona. Special thanks to Sergio Carratalà without whome the night would not have been half as special!
Soon we will tell you a little bit more about each speaker in our blog and we will put Benjamin Julve's photos on our Flickr site. We are already planing the next Pecha Kucha Night for January 09, so any suggestions about where to do it and who to present are welcome!
Best wishes,
Pecha Kucha Barcelona
