Join us for a Special Edition of Pecha Kucha Night Bemidji!
We'll be celebrating with 463 other cities around the world during the anniversary of the first Pecha Kucha Night. Pecha Kucha Cities GLOBAL WEEK is the fourth week of February. Our Special Edition PKN will take place on Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30 p.m. It's FREE and open to the public.
The purpose of the event is to celebrate our community and what makes it unique. Topics could fall into the broad categories of: history, art/culture, climate, geography, politics, or sports, just to name a few.
Even in the age of online social media, live events are crucial to reinforcing strong communities and building new relationships.
The event will feature presentations that tell the story of what makes Bemidji so cool. We're looking for speakers that want to share:
What do you tell out-of-town loved ones about where you live?
Why do you love living here?
What makes this place cool/unique?
Why did you move here /or Why have you never left /or Why did you come back?
Community members with a story to share about the community.
PKN Bemidji exists because of this amazing community.

Did you know that many PK presentations--from Bemidji and many other places--are available on YouTube! If you've never attended a PKN, the concept is simple. Pecha Kucha presentations only last six minutes and forty seconds. Twenty slides are each projected for twenty seconds as you speak. You don't even have to worry about advancing your slides!
Samantha Nienow (
samantha@redzestdesign.com) or any of the PKN team members will be thrilled to help you with any questions you might have.
