Hello PK addicts:
During the months of April and May, PechaKucha Night Chicago is represented at PK Nights in Boston (Volume 9), a PK event at the Association of Children's Museums' conference in Philadelphia (April 27), and at the AIA Convention in San Francisco (Volume 33 on May 1). All of this tourism has us itching to get ready for Chicago Volume 9 on June 2. Tickets are already on sale, and presenters are in the process of getting ready. See who is up for sharing 400 seconds of their fame with you at http://www.pecha-kucha.org/cities/chicago/9.
As usual, Martyrs' is the place at 3855 N Lincoln Avenue. Tickets at http://www.martyrstickets.musictoday.com/Martyrs/calendar.aspx
Then we are all on the road for a PechaKucha Night event at Neocon on June 16 at English on LaSalle St, and at the Hyde Park Art Center for Volume 10 on July 21.
You must be registered for the Neocon World's Trade Fair for the June 16 event - witness the return performances of Chicago's own Theaster Gates and Thorsten Bösch, and welcome tourists from around the USA, including an encore by Volume 5 alumni, Jim Venturi.
