Getting on our bikes... We are 10 (so time to take off our training wheels)

We're moving PechaKucha Night about 90 blocks south for our milestone Volume 10 on July 21st. Head down to Hyde Park to the world famous Hyde Park Art Center at 5020 S. Cornell.
It'll be the usual incredible stuff, and to celebrate our tenth event, it will be FREE and ALL AGES (so bring the family). There'll be beer, a beer break, maybe even an ice cream break in the building's lovely café. Most amazingly, we will be utilizing the Art Center's amazing digital façade as a projection screen. If you haven't been, it's really big. Really, really big.
Volume 10 features 6 minutes and 40 seconds seconds each of Art Center director Chuck Thurow, poet and HBO regular Kevin Coval, young architects Darya Minosyants and Ryan Johnson, film maker Karen Carter Lynch, along with artists Emmy Brown, Christa Donner, and Andy Hall (alumni of PechaKucha Night Chicago Volume 2, stepping up to the microphone again). More presenters will be announced. Kate Lorenz of PechaKucha Night Volume 7 fame, and regular emcee Peter Exley will introduce the evening. Presenters will utilize the Garofalo Architects (PechaKucha Volume 1) designed giant projection screens, indoors and out, among the exhibit "Apocalypse and Rapture", curated by photographer Doug Fogelson (PechaKucha Volume 4).
There's lots of bike parking, and for four-wheeled motorized travelers, we detect regular parking too.
Bring Friends.
PechaKucha Night Chicago Volume 10 for one night only at Hyde Park Art Center  (5020 S. Cornell Avenue, Chicago) on Tuesday July 21st.  This is a one time venue change. PechaKucha Night Chicago will return to Martyrs’ on September 1, 2009, for Volume 11. But watch this space. We've got more free things in other cool locations before the year is out.
