PechaKucha night Chicago

In less than 2 weeks, PechaKucha Night Chicago’s Volume 11 features 6 minutes and 40 seconds seconds each of PK regular Thorsten Bösch, digital editor/hostess Saya April Hillman, architect and advocate Steve Panzatis, rock band Eschatol (another entire band of musicians “doing” a 400 second set), self proclaimed “Etiquette Bitch” Mare Swallow, architectural photographer and green technologist Doug Snower all the way from Highland Park, Indiana resident, commuter, and museum professional Louise Belmont Skinner, beer maker Karl Rutherford, and School of the Art Institute stalwart and ceramicist Dustin Yager. Architect Peter Exley and artist Andy Hall will egg you on and accompany your beer drinking. Eschatol will perform an encore set somewhat longer than 400 seconds following PechaKucha events. Get tickets, because you know it's often a sell before the first presenter hits the stage.
PechaKucha Night Chicago Volume 11 for one night only at Martyrs’  (3855 N Lincoln Avenue, Chicago) on Tuesday September 1st.   For tickets, call (800) 594-8499. Now a staple on the Chicago creative calendar, PechaKucha Night has made its home at Martyrs’ club on the city’s North Lincoln Avenue. This is the fifth PechaKucha Night event held in Chicago so far this year. Previous events have included a special event as part of the Neocon World’s Trade Fair, and a road trip to the Hyde Park Art Center for Volume 10. A special Daniel Burnham PechaKucha Night will be announced for late September at a sexy downtown location.
PechaKucha Night Chicago at Martyrs’ was voted as the Readers’ Best Non-Musical Event for 2009.
