Pecha Kucha Greenville will launch its first event on November 12, 2009, at the Huguenot Mill at the Peace Center. Watch as a dozen or so selected artists and designers present their work in a 20 x 20 format: 20 slides, 20 seconds each, with no presentation lasting longer than 6 minutes 40 seconds. Find something to be inspired, surprised or even provoked by. The event will begin and end with a chance to mix and mingle with the presenters, seasoned professionals, students, and other event attendees. A $5 donation to cover costs will be happily accepted at the door. To reserve your FREE seat, visit

Submission Guidelines
What you should present:
Anything -- nothing is out of bounds. Pecha Kucha is all about being creative. Remember -- how you present is as important as what you present. The only restriction is the number of images and the time for each slide (20x20=400 seconds). It will be you, a mic, and a big-ass screen so come to promote, come to lecture, or to come vent. And have fun!
What you should submit:
• NAME of Presenter and CONTACT information (telephone and email) with a Description of YOU (300 words or less) (.doc file)
• A PRESENTATION TITLE with a Description of the WORK to be presented (300 words or less); Electronic SAMPLE of Work to be presented (3 MB or less).
• The Electronic SAMPLE should be 20 images in the correct sequence as a zipped Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt) file or Apple Keynote (.key) file.
• Still images only. No transitions, no animations, no movie clips/music, no exceptions.
• All images to be 100 to 150 dpi @ 10” wide x 7.5” tall in jpeg format.
• Please EMAIL submissions titled "Nov. Submission Your Name" to
