2008 - PechaKucha events began in Hong Kong with Ambassadors of Design.
2012 - Under the direction of ChowPourianLab, the PKN series in HK is heading back to the grassroots spirit of the PechaKucha mothership in Tokyo - a PechaKucha of wild cards - eclectic, fun and full of surprises. The floor is open to everyone, not only established professionals - but also emerging talent, entrepreneurs and students too.
This means the PechaKucha Night series of events will have more of a focus on hidden gems while AoD continues to do one-off PechaKucha events with well-known designers. We're all working toward the same goal - promoting creativity in Hong Kong, and providing opportunities to meet and share ideas with other like-minded people in a relaxed setting.
So... students and superstars, freaks and geeks - get in touch and introduce yourself if you'd like to present!
