Pecha Kucha (pronounced peh-chak-cha) is a Japanese term for the sound of conversation or “chit chat”.
Devised in Tokyo in 2003 to give people a venue to meet, network, info share and show off their work, Pecha Kucha is a unique presentation that’s taking creative and business people by storm.
Pecha Kucha presenters get 6 minutes to show 20 images for 20 seconds each. This forces them to focus their messages and avoid lengthy PowerPoint presentations.
So if you’re a big shot at a major company, a junior or just interested in what’s happening in and around you, join us at the first Johannesburg Pecha Kucha on the 7th of May 2009.
Entrance is free for the broke and curious and there’ll be a cash bar to break the ice, so come and join us at Atlas Studios, 33 Frost Ave, Millpark, and let’s have a Pecha Kucha Night. Make sure that you're there at exactly 20:20 or you'll miss out.
You can also subscribe to the Pecha Kucha Johannesburg website for more updates and information.
