PechaKucha Leeds have along established relationship with CapeUK and the two organizations have collaborated on a number of occasions. CapeUK is an enterprising and creative organisation, which has been supporting children and young people to experience and create within the arts. It has a national and international reach, rooted in outstanding practice on the ground in Yorkshire and the North West. CapeUK have been past presenters at PKN Leeds, and in addition PKN Leeds have provided PechaKucha workshops for their users.
Flourish is CapeUK’s one-day festival of teaching and learning. A space for arts and education professionals to experience, discover and be inspired by the impact of arts, culture and creativity on children and young peoples lives. Growing out of practice in schools from across the region and beyond, Flourish will explore how to ensure that values and the power of creativity remain at the heart of the curriculum in these times of change.
Flourish is a Pechakucha independent event which will see inspiring ideas from Keynote speakers such as the renowned children’s author Michael Rosen and the established writer Anne Firth, further inspiration will come from a serious of PechaKucha presentations throughout the day illustrating the best practice in creative education across CapeUK’s work in Yorkshire and the North West of England.
