Pecha Kucha Night is a great event for Lexington to bring out the hidden talent that has always been overshadowed by horses, bourbon, and basketball. We are proud of what has been achieved in these areas but it is time to learn more about the talent through design, technology, and idea creation. This will provide an arena for local talent to be discovered and admired.
What is it? It is a format, 20 images x 20 seconds where someone can showcase their talent in a total of 6 min 40 seconds. It’s not putting someone on a platform in front of a lot of people and putting pressure on them. It’s to give people with a unique talent a chance, a chance to share even though you have no idea who they are. With multiple presenters in one evening, emotions will range and allow the audience to appreciate such creativity.
Peh – Chak – Cha, two words, three syllables, Japanese for chit-chat and is the first event of its kind in Kentucky. So the only question to ask is….Do you Pecha Kucha?
If you are interested in presenting, please email your topic, brief description of what you are presenting and contact information to kent@pklex.com.
