Announcing the 35th PechaKucha Night in Providence! This month (2/22/2012) we are joining some of the other 469 PKN's around the world for a Global Cities Week. Once again, we will meet at the amazing new venue - FETE - in Onleyville, for an historic night of presenters!

What is Global Cities Week? It's time to celebrate your city, globally. We thought this year, as our global event which brings all the PechaKucha cities, organizers, presenters and attendees together we should focus attention on you, your city. Global Cities Week also celebrates the anniversary of the first PKN in Tokyo - In Feb of 2003!

So, the theme this month is "cities"

Some of the presenters will include:

- James Hall - Providence Preservation Society
- Gayle Corrigan - City of Central Falls
- Providence Department of Planning and Development
- RI Music Hall of Fame

- And others to be announced as they are confirmed!

We hope to see you on the 22nd!!!

If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, Pecha Kucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas, in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Put simply: 6 minutes and 40 seconds of adult-style show & tell. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 469 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 09.

***Doors open at 7:20, presentations start at 8:20, and shmoozing goes down throughout.***
