v.48 this Tuesday, Jan. 24th!! v.49 on February 22nd

Hi Gang,
Happy New Year!
A quick reminder in case you haven't heard about the event we have on tap this week... its Chaos!!!
Pecha Kucha is back at SPUR by popular demand (and because we had so much fun the first time)! The New Year is upon us, and we still occasionally feel the palpable anxiety of Y2K, so we thought 'Chaos' was a good way to kick off this year of PK SF.

Hear from designers, thinkers and doers as we explore the theme of "chaos" through an urbanist lens. Speakers will present 20 slides (20 seconds per slide) in Pecha Kucha’s world-famous, rapid-fire format. Don’t miss this fast, furious and fun celebration of urbanism. It's $20 for non-members, but if you use the password 'Mayhem,' you can enter for $10, which goes to helping SPUR's mission of a better San Francisco.

Check out the lineup here with more details!

Now, in case you can't make it this week, please join us February 22nd for another installment of PK, with "Creating Outside the Lines."

Pecha Kucha Night is heading to the Children’s Creativity Museum! You can see and hear big people talk about their creative process and how they got their start as little people, focused on the theme of "Creating Outside the Lines". We're going to hear from folks who are on the fringe of they're fields, who maybe do things a little differently than 'the norm.' The Children's Creativity Museum is going to host us in their theater for this event. Most of you may know them as the 'Zeum in Moscone Center. They just re-branded this past fall and are keen to collaborate with our creative network of attendees. Hope to see you in February!

As always, find us on facebook or twitter for frequent updates.
Thank you for a great 2011, and hopefully a better and bigger 2012,
Paul, Christian, and the PK team

Also, thanks so much to Sarah Karlinsky and SPUR, and Michael Nobleza and the Children's Creativity Museum for reaching out, being great collaborators and hosting us!
