PechaKucha night San Francisco

Hello PK-people,
This Friday's PechaKucha night at the UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design will be our first. We've taken over their Happy Hour to make it a Happy Hour for the whole East Bay design community. And we're glad to finally do it.
The courtyard is located on the back (east) side of Wurster Hall (the magnificent 9-story, concrete tower near College and Bancroft) Public parking is available at the lot located behind the Boalt Law school and accessed off Gayley Raod across from Memorial Stadium. Cost is approx. $1 AFTER 5 PM. Entrances to the courtyard being both coming from the building's lobby and from that east side, Law School parking lot.
Happy Hour starts at 6, but we'll have to wait for dark to start - approx. 7:30pm
This will also be our first event outdoors and it looks like Mother Nature is going to cooperate. There will be lots of lawn seating plus chairs and perimeter walls and benches to stand or stand. Bringing a blanket or mat would be a good idea both to sit on or wrap up in - or both. Not being in a bar this time, our drinking options will be simplified to bottled beer, red & white wine, water and some soft drinks.
PINK FRIDAY!
We were happy to discover that Friday the 13th will also be Pink Friday - a day we stand up for Public Education in California! Wear some pink and show your support. We'd like this event to make a good showing of solidarity against the budget cuts being exacted on our state's profoundly important public service and resource.
