F. Jerome - The Beginning of Change
F. Jerome Davis, also known as JD CEO/President of WayOutRecords, Inc., founded the company in 1997 with the intend of offering youth in the community a "WayOut". In 2005, JD created WayOut Kids, which is the children's division of the label, and kid-friendly Rodney Raccoon who has taken the area by storm, educating youth through Hip-Hop music. Rodney Raccoon is the strong force behind WayOut Kids, promoting peace and celebrating our differences throughout our community.
Jeremy Gregory - Preliminary Sketch
Jeremy Gregory is an illustrator/artist from Tacoma, Wa. Since his graduation from the Art Institute of Seattle he has created graphics for all types of applications from skateboard designs and CD covers, to editorial illustrations, and his current monthly comic strip in the Tacoma City Arts, True Grit. His unique style of mixed media gives the artwork a very recognizable look. When he's not working on freelance illustration projects he is creating paintings/draings for gallery exhibits, and art shows around the Northwest. He shows regularly with the Seattle art collective Artifakt, which is one of the staples for the Seattle underground art scene. You can check out their website at Artifakt.org. "I enjoy the organic feeling of growth working from dark to light, and the physical act of scribbling takes me back to coloring as a child. Cassie Hodge - It's a Lullaby on Wonder Woman's Radio
Cassie has been living in Tacoma since 2007 working toward her architecture license. Her point of origin is middle of no-where Idaho; current location is north of the Ghetto. Both places continue to affect her frame of reference.
Jonah Jensen - Architectural Designer
Jonah Jensen is an architectural designer who has been working in Tacoma since 2001. He has been intimately involved in a few significant projects in Tacoma, most notably the modernization of Stadium High School and Pacific Plaza. He has contributed pro-bono design work for the Dugan Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to responsible animal companion ownership. More can be found on the Dugan Foundation at www.duganfoundation.org. As a parting gift for being given the opportunity to spend the first five years of his career on Stadium he self-published a book called "Voices, the Art of Construction". The book was a collaborative effort between Jonah and Jim Dugan and was used to convey the beauty of construction and realize it as more than merely a means to an end. Intended as a gift to Stadium alumni, the community, and history, the book has become a compliment to this most treasured landmark. Jonah now works at BLRB Architects where he is currently the design architect for another modernization of a beloved elementary school in Sumner, Washington.
Ron Pero - The Beginning and End of Creativity
Dr. Ron Pero operates a successful web programming business, and works with the David Lynch Foundation teaching the Transcendental Meditation technique to violence-prone youths and adults. Ron grew up in Lakewood, and has taught Transcendental Meditation in the US, India, and Europe, in businesses, schools, and prisons. His Bachelor's degree is in Philosophy, Masters Degree in Business Administration, and Doctorate in Peace Studies.

Chelsea Muller - Rebuilding: A Beginning at 80
Chelsea Muller is the Program Manager for Rebuilding Together South Sound, a nonprofit that provides home repairs to low-income homeowners. Chelsea's career with Rebuilding Together started with an AmeriCorps term of service. The organization serves the elderly, disabled and families with children living in Pierce County, Auburn and Federal Way; and for some of them, a new beginning comes at 80.
Kris Crews - Formative Moments: the Beginnings of Madeline Joy Crews
An avant-garde video producer since the age of 12, Kris Crews spends a significant portion of his life peering at both the mundane and the profound through the optics of a digital time machine. Predictably, like most dreamy eyed fathers, you will often see him, camera in hand, capturing light to share with the world at lightning fast speed.
Michael Herbert - \ˌrē-ə-ˈlīn\
Michael has been involved in exploring the impact of communication through 2-D and 3-D spaces since the 1980’s. With a BFA in Interior Environmental Design from Ball State University and a MFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois, Michael has pursued the role of visual communicator in various roles, including interior designer, print graphic designer, environmental graphic designer, and illustrator. Specific professional areas of focus include signage and wayfinding, museum/corporate exhibit design, along with spatial and print branding systems for non–profit and academic institutions. Signage and wayfinding projects have included vehicular directional systems for municipalities, interior and exterior packages for corporations, retail branded signage, donor/commemorative signage, temporary celebratory and directional programs for institutional clients, and interpretive and informational systems for parks and recreation entities. Michael has also had the often pleasurable, always challenging experience as an educator within various institutions throughout the Midwest and in Seattle.
