Turku is the original capital and the cultural heart of Finland. So it's about time to Pecha Kucha to land in Turku! And by the way: Turku is the European Capital of Culture (alongside with Tallinn) in 2011!
Pecha Kucha Turku is organized by Turku SAFA (the local association of SAFA - architects in Finland). The first Pecha Kucha Night on April 8th 2010 was a great success and a small step after another it is making it's way to the hearts of the citizens inTurku.
The night has almost got stuck in bar Alvar - and why wouldn't it be: bar Alvar is situated in the Southwestern Finland Agricultural Co-operative building (1927-28) designed by architect Alvar Aalto.
