PechaKucha night Vancouver

Hello fellow Vancouverites,
We try and keep our e-blasts to a minimum but we felt compelled to make a public statement about the last Pecha Kucha Night at IDS West.
It's in our blood to test new things and usually we're pretty good at getting it right. However, in the case of Pecha Kucha Vol. 7 at the IDS West, the venue wasn't adequate for the standards we've set and hope to exceed.
We've received a significant amount of feedback (thank-you) that the seating limitations, screen size, sound and technical difficulties left something to be desired. However, we promise these issues will not be of a concern moving forward as we're back at The Park Theatre for Vol. 8 & 9 (coming soon!)
Our goal is to showcase Vancouverites that create and do great things to inspire others, rather than being just great public presenters. We ultimately want both but unfortunately that sometimes doesn't go hand in hand. Because this event is not for profit, it is not our business, and therefore we can not spend time auditioning but we do our best to select a dynamic and diverse group and guide them as best we can.
We hope to regain your confidence in a night out for $10 worth much much more.
